Take a Stand Against CSAM

Magnet Forensics is a proud partner and supporter of the Child Rescue Coalition (CRC). The CRC is “a nonprofit organization that rescues children from sexual abuse by building technology for law enforcement, free of charge, to track, arrest, and prosecute child predators.” Sadly, the number of criminals involved in this type of illegal behavior increases every year. However, nonprofit organizations like the CRC are making an impact.

According to the Child Rescue Coalition:

  • 3140+ children have been rescued from sexual exploitation and abuse by law enforcement using their technology
  • 13,650+ arrests have been made across the globe
  • 680,000+ instances of child abuse have been prevented

“The Internet is our crime scene” A Law Enforcement Perspective

The technology that the CRC provides is designed to help law enforcement triage child sexual abuse material (CSAM) cases to focus on the most persistent offenders. CRC Technology looks for images that have been reported to law enforcement and flagged as depicting children under the age of 12. Law enforcement can use the tool to crack down on an illegal industry and stop the stream of horrific, illegal images and videos. While using CRC technology, officers can also use geo-location features to search for offenders viewing and distributing unlawful material by country, state, city, or county.
